Dr. Gemmi, a native of Northeast Philadelphia, received his
Certificate in Orthodontics from Albert Einstein Medical Center,
where he also completed a two-year general practice residency.
During his tenure at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Dr. Gemmi
received multiple awards including the Benjamin Lebby Award for
Outstanding General Practice Resident and the Schatz Award for
Outstanding Member of the entire House Staff. He also gave lectures
to various groups, and was awarded first place three years in a row
for his table clinic presentations at the Philadelphia County Dental
Society Meetings. Currently, Dr. Gemmi is a member of the
orthodontic teaching staff at Albert Einstein Medical Center, and is
frequently asked to lecture to various groups.
Prior to his residencies, Dr. Gemmi graduated Magna Cum Laude from
Temple University School of Dentistry, where he received the Hinman
Scholarship for Outstanding Dental Student, and was inducted into
the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Induction into
Omicron Kappa Upsilon is one of the highest academic achievements a
dental student can attain. Dr. Gemmi received his Bachelor of
Science Degree in Biology from Villanova University, and his high
school diploma from LaSalle College High School.
On a personal note, Dr. Gemmi enjoys spending time with his family,
golf, photography, tropical fish, and computers. He resides in
Montgomery County with his wife, Maria, daughters, Caitlin, Kiera,
and Carly, and dog Skippy.
Dr. Gemmi is currently president of the Eastern Dental Society, and
an active member of the Philadelphia County Dental Society, The
American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society
of Orthodontics, The Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the
American Dental Association.
